Chugh Bricks Company

Out here in Village 36 Gb, life moves a bit slower than in Sriganganagar city. Chugh Bricks Company is tucked away in the fields of Tehsil Sri Vijaynagar. We’ve been working this patch of land for a long time. It’s a family-run thing, really. My uncle started it and now we all just pitch in where we can. The soil around here is actually quite decent for making strong bricks, which is lucky for us. Most of our days are spent walking through the rows of raw bricks, making sure they’re drying evenly. The wind can be a problem sometimes, blowing sand all over the place, but we manage. We have a small shed that serves as our office, filled with old registers and a very noisy fan. It's not much to look at, but it works for us. Our workers live nearby and they know the routine better than anyone. We get a lot of farmers coming by who need to build small storehouses or repair their walls. We don't really do big corporate stuff, just local supply for the people in the surrounding villages. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to wait a couple of days for parts to come from the city. It's frustrating, but it gives us a chance to catch up on other chores. We just keep our heads down and keep the fire burning in the chimney.
