Thavanampalle Farmers Producer Company Limited is located over at Dwarakapuram, specifically at Mr. K. Krishna Reddy’s place in Punya Samudram. It is a rural area, and that is reflected in how we do things. We don't have fancy desks or air conditioning. We mostly sit around and talk about the ground and the crops. It started because a few of us realized that we were getting the short end of the stick when we worked alone. So now we pool our resources and try to help each other out with the farming stuff. It could be anything from sharing a tractor to figuring out which seeds are actually going to grow this year. We have seen good years and bad years, and we have learned to just take them as they come. Our office is more like a meeting spot for friends who happen to be in business together. We don't use any corporate jargon because none of us would understand it anyway. We just talk about the weather, the pests, and the prices. It is a very direct way of living. We work hard, we get tired, and we hope the next harvest is a bit better than the last one. If you’re ever in the Punya Samudram area, you’ll see us around, probably arguing about the best time to plant the next round of crops.
