Roop Bhawana School

Roop Bhawana School is out at 10 Lnp in Sri Ganganagar. If you know this part of Rajasthan, you know that the landscape is very flat and it can get incredibly hot in the summer months and quite cold in the winter. Our school is a simple building that serves the families living in and around the 10 Lnp area. We don’t have a lot of the fancy extras that you might find in the big city schools, but we provide a place for the local kids to come and learn their subjects. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and plenty of windows to let in the light. We spend a lot of our time making sure the students are attending regularly and keeping up with their work. The dust can be a bit of a problem when the wind picks up, so there is always someone sweeping the floors. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when the bell rings for recess and everyone rushes outside. We have a few trees in the yard that provide some shade, which is where the teachers usually sit during their breaks. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in Rajasthan, just a reliable place for the people in our corner of Sri Ganganagar. It’s a lot of hard work but we are used to the routine and the heat that comes with living here.
