Srinivasarao Boiled Rice Mill

Our mill is situated on Stonehousepet Road in Kavali, right at number 35-98-34. If you are walking nearby, you can usually hear the hum of the machines working throughout the day. Srinivasarao Boiled Rice Mill has been a part of this neighborhood for a long time. It is a loud and often dusty place to work, but that is just the nature of milling rice. We spend most of our hours dealing with heavy sacks of grain that come in from the local farms. When the sun hits the tin roof in the afternoon, it gets incredibly hot inside, but we just keep the fans running and stay focused. Our crew is small, but they know exactly how to manage the boilers and the drying process. It is hard physical work, and we all go home with dust on our skin and clothes. We don't have a fancy lobby or a waiting room for visitors. If someone needs to speak with us, they usually find us out by the loading docks or near the machinery. We work closely with a lot of the farmers and traders around Kavali. The price of rice goes up and down, and we’ve seen it all before. We don't use any complicated talk to explain our business. We just run the mill and try to keep everything in good shape so we can get the work done. The bags stack up high in the back until it's time to load the trucks.
