Kandukuri Foods

Kandukuri Foods is tucked away at 10 71 in Kotha Bazar, right in the heart of Kavali. If you’ve ever walked through Nellore markets, you know how packed Kotha Bazar can get. It’s a narrow street and there is always someone shouting or a bike trying to squeeze past. Our shop isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got shelves lining every wall, filled with whatever we’re processing that week. It smells like grain and earth most of the time. We’ve been here for several years now, and the neighbors are all like family. We share coffee in the afternoons when things quiet down a little bit. The building itself is old, with those thick walls that keep it somewhat cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. We just have our names on the board outside and a phone that rings more than it probably should. Most of our work involves weighing things out and packing them into bags for the local shops. It’s repetitive work, but there’s a rhythm to it that I find quite nice. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just providing food items to the people who need them in the town. It’s honest work and it keeps our hands busy from morning until the sun goes down and we lock up.
