S A L Logistics Pvt Ltd is up on the fourth floor of building K 316/12 in Lado Sarai. If the lift is acting up, which happens once in a while, it’s a long walk up those stairs. From the windows, you can see across the rooftops of the village area. It’s a busy place with people always checking schedules and talking on their phones. We handle logistics, so there’s a lot of talk about trucks, routes, and timing. The office is pretty simple with white tiles and some basic desks. We have a few maps pinned to the walls with notes scribbled on them. Lado Sarai has a lot of small lanes and it can be tricky for people to find us the first time. We’ve got a small balcony where we go to get some air, though it’s usually just a view of more buildings and some trees. There’s a constant hum of computers and the occasional printer jamming. We keep a stash of biscuits in one of the drawers for when the afternoons get long. It’s not a corporate skyscraper or anything like that. Just a regular office where we keep track of things moving from one place to another. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we’re all pretty comfortable with the daily routine.
