R S Tours & Travels

Down in A 5 108 B/9 Vasant Kunj, we run R S Tours & Travels out of a space that feels more like a living room than a business sometimes. Vasant Kunj is a nice area, but our office is pretty tucked away and quiet. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers or trying to figure out why a flight got delayed. There are maps pinned to the wall that are probably out of date, and a lot of old notebooks filled with scribbled names and dates of trips. It gets chaotic when the holiday season starts because everyone wants to go somewhere at the same time and the phones won't stop ringing. We don't have a big staff, so if one person is out, the rest of us are running around like crazy trying to keep up. Sometimes the internet acts up and we can't book anything, which is always frustrating for everyone. We have a regular set of customers from the neighborhood who just drop by to say hello or ask about a train ticket. There is a small tea shop nearby that we practically live out of during the busy hours. We don't really do the big flashy advertising stuff; we just tell people what we can do and hope the cars show up on time. Traffic is always a topic of conversation here because it dictates everything we do every single day. It's a lot of juggling schedules.
