Kimiya Consulting Pvt. Ltd. operates from Flat No. 302, Sector-5, Pkt-1, SFS Flats. It’s a bit unusual because we are in a residential building rather than a commercial tower. We like the quiet of the SFS flats. It makes the workday feel less stressful. The office is basically just a converted apartment. We have desks in what used to be the living room and files stored in the bedroom cupboards. It’s just a few of us working here. We spend our time on various consulting projects, which mostly means lots of phone calls and reading through documents. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If someone visits, they just ring the doorbell like at any other home. We make our own tea in the small kitchen and usually have our lunch together at the main table. The view from the third floor is just the other buildings and some trees in the courtyard. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to take the stairs, which is okay for a bit of exercise. We’ve been here long enough that the guards know us by name. It’s a simple, low-key way to run a business. We don't need a lot of space or fancy furniture to get our consulting work done. It’s just about staying focused and keeping the paperwork organized. We try to keep the noise down for the neighbors, and mostly it’s just the hum of the computers and our voices on the phone.
