Shop No 1 on Jangpura Road is where we spend most of our time. It’s a small place in the Jangpura Extension area, not far from Nehru Stadium. You might know Arjun Plaza, we’re right near there. India Travel Tours is run out of this little shop, and it’s usually filled with maps and old brochures we haven't thrown away yet. The street outside stays busy with people heading toward the stadium or just going about their shopping. It’s a nice neighborhood, though finding a spot for a scooter can be a challenge on some days. We’ve got a couple of desks and some chairs that have seen better days, but they’re comfortable enough for us. The light comes in through the front window in the morning, which is the best time of day here. We aren't a big agency with dozens of staff members. It’s just a few of us handling things as they come in. Sometimes the internet acts up, or the power goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out and chat. It’s part of the charm of being in an older building. People drop in to ask for directions quite often because of where we are located. We don't mind. It’s good to talk to the neighbors. Working at Shop No 1 feels right for us, and we’ve made this little corner of Jangpura our own over the years. We just take it as it comes.
