Out here on Mandi Road, things get pretty busy especially when the trucks come in. Ferns N Petals Pvt Ltd is tucked away in the Fnp Estate on Ashram Marg, right in the Gadaipur area. It’s been our base for a while now. Most days start early with the smell of wet stems and greenery everywhere. We’ve got this big space on Gurgaon Road and sometimes it feels like a maze with all the crates and buckets sitting around. The staff usually brings lunch from home and we sit together when there’s a quiet moment. It isn’t always quiet though. Gadaipur can be quite dusty during the summer months, so we are always cleaning the floors to keep the place looking decent. People stop by asking for directions since we're a bit of a landmark around here. The office part is just a few desks and some old chairs where we sort out the paperwork. We don't really have fancy decorations on the walls, just calendars and some notes taped up. Usually, there's a kettle going for tea in the corner. If you walk through the estate, you’ll see people moving stuff back and forth all day long. It's just how it is here. We focus on getting the daily tasks done without much fuss. The traffic on Gurgaon Road can be a real pain in the evenings, but we’re used to the noise by now. It’s a plain, working building where everyone knows each other’s names.
