You’ll find us out at Sanjay Dahiya’s house, number 171/1, right near the Air Force Camp in Rajokri. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a design business, but it works for us. Being near the camp means it’s relatively quiet, though you get the sound of planes now and then. We don’t have a big glass-fronted studio or anything like that. It’s a lived-in space where we do our thinking and drawing. We’ve got computers set up and rolls of paper everywhere. It’s often a bit messy, especially when we are in the middle of a project. The commute into this part of New Delhi can be a bit tricky if you don't have your own transport, but we like being a bit tucked away from the main city noise. Most of our days are spent going back and forth on designs, trying to get things to look right on the screen before they go out. We drink a lot of chai and sometimes sit outside when the sun isn't too hot. We aren't a huge firm with dozens of designers. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can actually talk to each other without sending emails across the room. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the dimensions are correct. It’s a quiet life here, just doing the work that comes our way and keeping things simple.
