Amrapaali Kala Peeth

Amrapaali Kala Peeth is tucked away in the basement of Dwarka, specifically in Block A, DDA Plot No 138, Sector 8. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is great for the Delhi heat. It’s a space where you can hear the faint sounds of music or people practicing their crafts. The walls have some scuffs from moving equipment around, and the lighting is a bit dim in the corners. It’s a busy place, especially in the evenings when more people show up. We have a lot of stuff stored in the back that we probably don't need, but nobody wants to throw it away. The walk down the stairs is a bit steep, so you have to be careful. In Sector 8, there are always cars looking for parking, and sometimes they block our entrance. We just deal with it. The neighborhood has a lot of little shops and parks nearby. Inside the office, things are a bit messy with flyers and schedules scattered on the desks. We try to keep things running smoothly, but it’s a bit chaotic at times. It feels like a community spot more than a business. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the upcoming events or just the weather. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where everyone is welcome to stop by.
