Acharya Kamal Kant Dixit

I’m Kamal Kant Dixit and you can find me over at Rz 13 in Najafgarh. My place is right near the Shiv Mandir, which is how most people find their way here. If you see the temple, you are basically there. I’ve been in this spot for many years, and the area hasn't changed all that much, though there are more cars on the road now. My office is a simple room with a fan that clicks a bit when it's on high. I have a lot of books on the shelves, some of them are quite old and have that specific paper smell. It’s a peaceful place to sit and talk. I usually start my day quite early after I visit the temple myself. People from all over Najafgarh come by when they have something on their mind. I don’t have a secretary, so I handle the phone and the door myself. It keeps me busy but I like knowing everyone who walks in. The floor is made of smooth stone which stays cool even when the Delhi summer gets really hot. Sometimes I sit outside on a stool if it’s a nice evening. It’s a plain life but I’ve always preferred it that way. No need for fancy decorations or expensive furniture. Rz 13 is my home and my workspace, all rolled into one.
