Shiv Shankar Bricks Industries

Shiv Shankar Bricks Industries is based in Belonia, right near the railway station. We've been here in this part of South Tripura for a good while now. Making bricks is what we do every single day. It's dusty, heavy work, but someone has to provide the materials for the new houses going up around the district. We have a small crew that knows how to stack the kilns just right. Sometimes the weather gets in the way of the drying process, but that's just how it goes with this kind of job. People stop by the yard when they need a load for a wall or a small shed. We don't have a fancy office or any of that corporate stuff, just the yard and the bricks. You'll see the smoke from the chimney when we're firing a new batch. It’s hard work, especially when the summer heat hits, but we keep at it. My father started things out here and now we just keep the wheels turning. If you're coming from the station, just look for the stacks of red bricks along the side of the road. We try to keep enough stock ready so people don't have to wait too long for their orders. It's nothing special, just a local business trying to provide for the community. The ground here has decent clay for the mud we need. We spend most of our time out in the sun, making sure things look good enough to build with. That's about it, really.
