About Trinity Primary School – Education in South Goa
If you find yourself in Curtorim, you might notice Hall No 1400. That’s where Trinity Primary School is located. It’s a bit of a different setup since we use the hall for our classes, but it works well for the kids in this part of Goa. Curtorim is such a green and quiet village, far away from the noisy tourist spots on the coast. Most of the families here have lived in the area for generations, so there’s a real sense of belonging when people drop their kids off in the morning. The hall itself is a sturdy old place that stays relatively cool even when the Goa sun is beating down outside. During the monsoon season, the sound of the rain hitting the roof is so loud we sometimes have to raise our voices just to be heard. We don't have a massive campus with sports fields; we just have our space in the hall where we sit and go through the primary lessons. It’s basic English, math, and some local history. We spend a lot of time just talking with the kids and helping them understand things. It’s a very basic way to run things, without any big budgets or fancy technology. We just rely on the teachers' patience and the support of the local Curtorim community to keep things moving forward year after year. There is a lot of cleaning to do every day, but we manage.
