Martis Engineering Works

Martis Engineering Works is tucked away on St. Joaquim Road in Borda. We are right in the Post Fatorda area and have been here for some time. The workshop is a bit old and has a lot of character, mostly in the form of oil stains on the floor and piles of scrap metal in the corners. We spend our days fixing things and putting different parts together for local jobs. It is a manual job that requires a lot of patience and heavy tools. The sound of banging metal and the hum of the lathe is what we hear all day long while we work. We do not have a fancy office or any kind of marketing team. We just open the doors in the morning and see what kind of repair work comes our way. Sometimes it is a small fix, other times it is a bigger project that takes a few days of labor. The air inside the shop stays a bit cool because of the thick walls, which is a relief in the heat. We keep our wrenches and screwdrivers organized on a big wooden board, though they often end up scattered on the benches by the end of the shift. Borda is a nice enough place to work, and we know many of the people who live and work around here. We do not make any big promises, we just look at the machine and do what is needed.
