New Gen Computers

Our shop, New Gen Computers, is located over in the Chandwadda area of Margao. It’s a typical local computer place where there’s usually a stack of old monitors in the corner and a few laptops open on the repair bench. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual tech problems—viruses, slow systems, or broken screens. The humid weather here in Margao can be a bit tough on the hardware, so we see a lot of parts that have just given up. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms. It’s just us in a small shop trying to get people’s machines back to them as fast as we can. The Chandwadda neighborhood is pretty busy, so we get a lot of walk-ins who just have a quick question or need a cable. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for parts to arrive from out of town, which can be frustrating, but that’s just how it is. We try to keep things organized, but when you have five different repairs going on at once, the workbench gets pretty cluttered with screws and screwdrivers. We open up in the morning, get the fans going to keep the place cool, and start working through the list. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at code or tiny circuits, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been here for a while now, and most of the locals know they can just drop in when something goes wrong.
