Cipla

The building we work in is at house number 318 in Bandiwade Bander, which is over in Ponda. It’s a bit away from the main noise of the bigger towns in Goa, and we prefer it that way. The road leading up to the place gets a bit dusty during the summer months, but it is easy enough to find. We’ve got Cipla written on the door, though it’s not a fancy sign or anything. Most people around here know where we are. Usually, the mornings start quite early for us. Someone opens up the shutters, and we get the fans going because the humidity can be quite something. The walls are a simple white, maybe needing a fresh coat of paint soon, but they do the job. We keep our files organized on a few old wooden desks and metal cupboards. There is a small window that looks out towards the greenery nearby, which is nice when you need a quick break from looking at papers. Sometimes the neighbors walk by and give a nod. We don't spend money on big advertisements or anything like that. We just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do here. It isn't a massive corporate office with glass walls, just a regular house turned into a workspace where we try to stay on top of things. We have a small kettle for tea and usually take turns making a pot for everyone in the late afternoon.
