Tajpur Village is where we do most of our work, specifically over on Street 26A. It’s on the edge of New Delhi, so you get a bit of that village feel mixed with the city noise and the heat. We’ve got a small workshop at House Number 24 where Vidyan Engineering Pvt Ltd handles different engineering tasks for the local market. It’s a dusty place, mostly because of the construction going on nearby and the heavy trucks passing through Badaur all day. We have a few machines that are quite old but still work perfectly fine if you know how to treat them and keep them oiled. Most of our days are spent in overalls, getting our hands greasy and making sure the parts are machined correctly. It gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so we start very early in the morning to beat the worst of it. We aren't a massive factory with thousands of employees or a big HR department. It’s just a dedicated team of us who have been doing this for years. We don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine in the lobby. We just have some wooden stools and a water cooler in the corner. People from around the industrial area know us for being practical and getting the job done without much fuss. We mostly focus on small-scale engineering work that requires a bit of manual attention.
