We’ve been based out of T-34 in Okhla Phase-II for a good while now. It’s a busy industrial area and you can always hear the hum of machinery from the neighboring units. Our daily routine is pretty straightforward. We get in, open up the shutters, and start looking at the lists of electrical items that need to go out. It’s mostly cables and various electrical components scattered around the shelves. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anyone in a suit greeting you at the door. It’s a working warehouse through and through. The floors are concrete and usually have some dust on them no matter how much we sweep. Most of the guys here have been with us for years, so we all know where every single spool of wire is kept. When the trucks pull up in the narrow lane outside, things get a bit chaotic, but we manage to get everything loaded up. We take our tea breaks together in the afternoon, usually talking about the traffic on the way in or some local news. It’s a practical environment. We don’t spend much time on fancy presentations; we just focus on making sure the orders are correct and the electrical gear is ready. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in the back checking inventory or on the phone with suppliers. It is just honest work in a noisy part of Delhi.
