Radhika Agarwal

My name is Radhika Agarwal. I work out of South Ext Part 1 in New Delhi. The address is B-66. It's a nice area, though it gets very crowded on the weekends with all the shoppers. I've been based here for several years. My workspace is inside a building that has been around for quite a while. It has high ceilings and those old-style windows. I like the character of the place. It's not like those new glass and steel buildings you see in Gurgaon. I run things myself with a little bit of help now and then. I don't have a fancy reception area or a coffee machine for guests. If you come by, I'll probably just offer you some tea from the stall around the corner. I started this work because I've always liked being independent. It isn't always easy, especially with the Delhi heat in the summer, but I make it work. I don't spend money on big ads or social media stuff. Most of my work comes from people I've known for a long time or neighbors who recommend me. I keep my records in folders and on my laptop. It’s a bit of a mix of old and new ways. I spend most of my day answering emails and talking on the phone. By the time I pack up in the evening, I’m tired but it's a good kind of tired. It’s just a normal job in a normal part of the city. I've grown to like the rhythm of this neighborhood. Sometimes I stay late just to avoid the traffic.
