We are based out of an Sfs Flat in Sheikh Sarai Phase 1. It’s at C249, and it feels more like a home that turned into an office over time. Being in a residential area in New Delhi makes the workday feel a bit different than being in a business park. We have the usual office stuff like computers and printers, but they are sitting in rooms that were clearly meant for bedrooms once. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which helps when we need to focus on some of the more technical drawings or contracts. There is a small balcony where we go to get some air or have a quick smoke break. Parking can be a bit of a nightmare if you arrive late, so most of us try to get here early. We handle a lot of the planning and coordination for the company from this flat. It’s a bit of a mix of people working here—some have been with the firm for years and some are newer. We don’t have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. It’s just a practical space where we do our jobs. Sometimes the neighbors pop by to say hello or ask about something. It’s a very human way to work, away from the sterile environment of a big corporate tower.
