Prayas Poly Clinic & Medical Centre

Our place, Prayas Poly Clinic & Medical Centre, is at Shop No-5 on Bhati Mines Road. We are out in the Fatehpur Farms area, right near the petrol pump. It is a bit of a dusty location because of the road, but it’s a vital spot for the people living out this way. We have a small medical centre and a pharmacy attached to it so people can get their pills right away. The shop is not very big, and it can get quite hot in the summer despite the fans. We see a lot of people from the nearby farms and the local residents who don’t want to travel all the way into the main parts of Delhi. It’s a very straightforward operation. We have a couple of doctors who come in on a schedule and a pharmacist who knows almost everyone’s prescriptions by heart. Sometimes the delivery trucks for the petrol pump make it hard to park, but people usually find a way. The floors are simple concrete and the shelves are packed with medicine boxes. We don’t do anything fancy here. It is just about being available when someone has a fever or needs a bandage. It’s a bit rough around the edges, especially with the dust coming in from the road, but we keep the place going because people out here really need us. It’s just how we do things in Fatehpur.
