Nisha Polyclinic & Nursing Home

Nisha Polyclinic & Nursing Home is based in Old Baijipura. It’s an older building that has been part of the neighborhood for a long time. Because it’s both a clinic and a nursing home, there is usually someone here at all hours. It isn't a massive hospital with hundreds of beds, but we have enough room for the people who need to stay over for a bit. The hallways are a bit narrow and the paint is peeling in some corners, but we keep the rooms as comfortable as we can. Families often come by to visit their relatives, so there is a lot of coming and going throughout the day. We have a small kitchen where we make basic meals for the patients. It’s a very local feel here. Most of our nurses and staff live nearby, so they know the families in the area. We don’t have those fancy digital check-in kiosks you see in the big city hospitals. We just have a desk with a register where we write things down. Sometimes it’s a bit noisy with the sounds of the street and the fans going, but it’s a place where people feel at home. We just focus on taking care of the basic health needs of the folks in Old Baijipura. It is a lot of hard work and long shifts, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years. There’s no corporate talk here, just people helping people.
