Our little spot is in Govindpuri, on the first floor at Pankaj Ku, Flat No 2. It’s right in the middle of New Delhi, so you can imagine how busy the streets get around here. We’re part of Mott Macdonald India Pvt Ltd, and this office handles quite a bit of the load for our local operations. The 110019 pin code area is always humming with activity. Inside, the office is pretty basic. We have our desks lined up, and there’s always someone on the phone or typing away at a report. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business because it’s not a huge space. We deal with technical stuff, mostly engineering plans and data. It’s a lot of focus and precision, which can be tiring, but we’re a good team. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you; you just walk in and see us working. Sometimes the noise from the street leaks in, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We take our lunches when we can and try to keep the workflow moving so we don't fall behind. It’s just a group of people trying to do a solid job on every project that comes through the door. We aren't much for self-promotion; we’d rather just let the finished work speak for itself. It’s honest, everyday labor in a busy corner of the city, and we like it that way.
