You can find us at 211 in the Okhla Industrial Area Phase 3, in Delhi. We are set up here specifically for the Dmrc-Saket underground station project through the Ecc Division of Larson & Toubro Ltd. Being in an industrial area means there are always trucks moving and a lot of noise from the nearby factories. It is a very active place. Our office is more of a site base than a corporate headquarters. We have helmets and safety vests hanging by the door, and the floor is usually a bit dusty from the work outside. We spend our time looking at project timelines and making sure the construction at the Saket station is moving along as it should. It is not the kind of place where you would expect to see fancy furniture or expensive carpets. Everything here is for the project. We have big tables for maps and a few computers for the reports. The people working here are engineers and supervisors who are more comfortable on a construction site than in a boardroom. We stay busy with the day-to-day problems that come up when you are digging under a city like Delhi. It is tiring work, but it is what we do. We do not have time for corporate polish when there is a metro station to build. It is all about the machinery and the schedules here.
