Lakshmi Steel

We have been running things here in the Hauz Khas Main Market at G 5 for quite a while now. Dealing with steel is just what we do every single day, and it is rarely a clean job. People stop by all the time looking for specific sizes or just to see what kind of stock we have on the racks. The shop itself is not very big, but we try to keep it organized enough so we can actually find what someone is asking for. It gets really busy around this part of the market, especially in the early mornings when the big trucks arrive to drop off new loads. Sometimes the noise from the street is a lot to handle, but you just get used to it after a week. We handle a lot of different kinds of orders, some are for big construction projects and others are just for a single small piece of metal. Working with steel means your hands are usually pretty dirty by the time lunch rolls around. It is just honest work. We do not do anything fancy or have a big office. If a person needs some steel for a job, they usually know to come find us here. We try to keep things moving along so nobody is left waiting out on the sidewalk for too long. It is just a couple of us keeping the place going. We know most of the other folks who own shops around G 5, so it feels like a real community. The floor is usually covered in scrap, but we sweep up when we can.
