We’ve been operating out of No-82/17 in the Yeshwanthpur Industrial Suburb for a long time. This part of Bangalore is always moving, with trucks and laborers everywhere you look. Our workshop is a big open space with high ceilings that help a bit with the heat, though not much in April. The machines are old but they still run fine if you treat them right. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment so things don't break down in the middle of a job. The floors are stained with oil, which is pretty much expected in an engineering shop. We have a small office partitioned off in one corner where we keep the ledgers and the telephone. It’s noisy, dusty, and honest. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. People find us because they know the area or they’ve heard about us from others in the suburb. We get to work early, usually before the sun gets too high, and stay until the day's work is sorted. There’s a tea shop around the corner where we spend our breaks, talking about nothing in particular. It’s a hard-working atmosphere without any of the polish you see in the city center offices. We like the grit of Yeshwanthpur. It suits the way we work and the things we make every day. Most of the guys live nearby.
