Kolkata Clinic

Our place is located in Block D of the J J Colony in Madanpur Khadar. It’s a busy part of the neighborhood and there is always something going on right outside our door. The clinic isn't very large, so things can get a bit cramped when it's a full house. We have a few benches for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Most of the people who come to see us live right here in the colony, so we see a lot of familiar faces. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet because we're usually too busy with the daily rush. The fans hum pretty loudly during the summer months to keep the air moving. We keep all our records in simple folders on the shelves behind the front desk. It's a straightforward setup. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just have to wait it out or use torches if it's late. The staff knows everyone’s name and we often end up chatting about local news while waiting for the doctor. It's a community spot more than anything else. We don't have a big sign out front, just enough for people to know they’ve reached the right place in Block D. It’s just us doing our bit in the middle of the colony every day of the week.
