Kabana Design Studio

You can find Kabana Design Studio over at House No. C 62 on the second floor. We are right in Jangpura - B, tucked behind the Rajdoot Hotel here in New Delhi. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s a good space once you get inside. We have big windows that let in a lot of light, which helps when we’re looking at samples or sketching out ideas. The studio is usually a mess of papers, color swatches, and measuring tapes. We don’t really tidy up much because we’re always in the middle of something. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s a place where we actually work. You’ll hear the sounds of the city coming in from the street, but we don’t mind it. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a minute. We’ve got a small kettle for making tea, which we do pretty much every hour. Most of us here have known each other for a long time, so the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. We don’t wear suits or have big meetings. We just sit around the main table and figure things out together. Living and working in New Delhi can be hectic, but this little second-floor spot feels like our own world. We stay late most nights because that’s when it’s quietest and we can really get things done.
