Jazzcon Engineers (P) Ltd is tucked away in A-204, Chatterpur Extension. If you know New Delhi, you know Chatterpur is always crowded and there's usually some construction happening nearby. Our office is right in the middle of all that noise and dust. It’s not the easiest place to navigate because the lanes are quite narrow and everyone seems to be in a hurry. Inside, we have stacks of blueprints and technical stuff lying around on almost every flat surface. We aren’t really big on decorating the place, so it’s mostly just shelves full of folders and a few old calendars on the walls. The fans hum all day long to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time arguing over small details in the plans or talking to people on the site. It’s a hands-on kind of job, so we are often covered in a bit of dust ourselves. We don't have fancy uniforms or a polished lobby. It’s just a workspace where we try to solve problems and get the engineering side of things right. Some days are longer than others, especially when a deadline is coming up fast. We usually just order some food from the local stalls and keep going until the work is finished. It’s a regular life here in the extension, and we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves in a shiny downtown office anyway. It's about the work, not the look of the place.
