Integral Design

Our spot at 134 in New Delhi has been the base for a long time. It’s 110029, so it gets pretty crowded around here during rush hour. We aren't a huge firm with dozens of floors. It's just a regular space where we sit down and get into the details of every drawing. Most mornings start with someone forgetting to buy milk for tea, but we manage. The desks are usually covered in papers and old rulers. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the work is solid. It’s hard to describe exactly what we do every day because it changes. One day it's technical stuff, the next it’s just sorting out old files. We’ve had a few people join and leave over the years, but the core of us stays the same. We know the neighbors and the local tea stall guy knows our order by heart now. Living and working in Delhi means you get used to the chaos. We don't mind it much. It keeps things interesting while we are working on designs. We don't have a big marketing department. Usually, people just hear about us from someone else and show up at the door. That's how we prefer it, actually. It feels more personal and less like a transaction when we know the faces coming through.
