Setting up shop at 153 Okhla Industrial Estate Phase III means dealing with a lot of noise and dust every single day. That's just how the industrial estate is. Our name is Era Infra Engneering Ltd, and we’ve been here in this building for quite some time. It's an older area, so things aren't always perfect. The road outside gets pretty clogged with trucks and tempos moving goods around at all hours. We do engineering work, mostly focused on big infrastructure projects that you see around the city. Inside the office, it's usually quiet until someone starts up a printer or the phone begins to ring. We have a small team. Everyone knows each other's habits and who takes their tea with how much sugar. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see us working at our desks. Okhla is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor. We’ve got maps on the walls and plenty of binders full of technical specs. It's practical. We handle the engineering side of things without making a big fuss about it. The chai man comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us here. We're just a group of people trying to get things built and keeping the business running as best we can.
