Chotalla Clinic

Our clinic is situated in the basement of building 632/7 in Govindpuri. It’s right in the heart of the New Kalkaji area, which is always humming with activity. Since we are underground, you have to walk down a short flight of stairs to get to us. The space is compact, but we have managed to fit in a small waiting area and two consultation rooms. Because it’s a basement, it stays relatively cool even when the Delhi heat is at its worst outside. We handle mostly general health issues for the local residents of Govindpuri. It’s a very crowded neighborhood, so we see people from all walks of life. The walls are painted a simple off-white and we have a few old chairs for patients. It’s not the quietest place because you can hear the traffic and the street vendors from above, but we don't mind it. We have been here for several years now and have a good rhythm going. We keep a small supply of common medicines in a glass cupboard. The lighting is all fluorescent tubes, which makes the place feel bright despite being below ground. It is a very practical setup meant to serve the people living in the immediate vicinity. Most of our patients are regulars who we know by name. We just do the basic medical work that needs doing every day. It is not fancy, but it works for us and the neighbors.
