Working here at Casio India in Okhla Industrial Estate is quite a busy experience. Our office is on the first floor of building 210, right in the middle of Phase-Iii. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how the traffic can get, especially during the morning rush. The building itself is pretty standard for the area, nothing too flashy on the outside. Inside, we are mostly focused on the day-to-day operations. There are desks piled with paperwork and various products like watches and calculators being moved around. It is not like the glossy pictures you see in magazines. It is a real office with people typing away and phones ringing all the time. Sometimes the elevator acts up, so we just take the stairs to the first floor. We have a small break area where we grab tea and talk about the weekend. The noise from the industrial estate is always in the background, but you get used to it after a week or two. We handle a lot of logistics from this spot. It is a lot of checking lists and making sure the inventory matches up with the numbers on the screen. It can be tedious work sometimes, but we stay on top of it. It feels like a solid place to be. We just keep our heads down and get the work done without worrying too much about the corporate polish.
