Ambica Electronics

Ambica Electronics is down in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase I. We are at number 108 in the Dsidc Complex. It is one of those places where you can hear the hum of electricity and the sound of soldering irons if you listen close enough. We have shelves and shelves of components, some of them in little plastic bins and others still in their original boxes. It’s easy to get lost in the rows if you don’t know what you are looking for. The air smells a bit like burnt plastic sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We spend most of our time testing boards or looking at diagrams under the desk lamps. It’s not a very large space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the wires running across the floor. Okhla is a tough place to navigate with all the trucks, but once you get inside our unit, it’s a bit quieter. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block, just the one that gets the electronics right. Most of the people who work here have been doing this for years, so they can spot a bad connection from a mile away. It’s a hands-on kind of job and we don’t have much time for sitting around doing nothing. We just take the components as they come and fix what needs fixing.
