Shyam Prasad & Sons

This is Shyam Prasad & Sons, located over in Garia. We’re right by the Bansh Pul area, specifically at 1 Natun Diyara. It’s a family-run thing, mostly passed down from my father who started it years ago. We’ve stayed in this same spot for quite a long time now, and we've seen the whole street change around us. The building is old and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it serves our needs well enough for now. We handle a variety of local tasks, mostly stuff that people in the Nayabad area need help with on a daily basis. It’s not a big corporation or anything like that. It’s usually just us and maybe one or two guys from the neighborhood helping out during the busy weeks when there's too much to do. Things can get a little disorganized when we have too much work coming in at once, but we usually sort it out by the end of the day. We spend most of our time out back in the workspace or handling customers who walk in through the front. The bridge nearby makes it easy for people to find us, though the traffic near the pul can be a real mess in the afternoons. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just trying to stay busy and do the work that comes our way. Sometimes the power goes out or the heavy rain makes it hard to get deliveries.
