Kharikotia H.S. School

We are tucked away in the 1st Lane of Picnic Garden in Kolkata. If you know the area, it's not hard to find, but it's a bit quieter than the main road. The school has been part of this lane for quite a while. We handle the higher secondary students, so things are usually a bit more serious around here. The building shows its age in some spots, but it holds up well enough. We have a lot of old wooden desks that have seen many students over the years. Our staff is a mix of people who have been here forever and some younger faces. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we focus on the books and the teaching. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but we just open the windows and carry on. It’s part of living in this part of town. The parents around here know us well. They often stop by to chat about how their kids are doing. It’s not a formal corporate place at all. It feels more like a big family that’s constantly busy. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with, especially during exam season. You’ll see us huddled over desks late into the evening then. We are just a local school trying to do right by the kids in Picnic Garden.
