Hot Point Restaurant

I have been at Hot Point Restaurant for a long time. We are over at 120 Kanungo Park in the Garia area. It’s a residential part of town, so we know most of the people who come in by their first names. The restaurant is just a simple room with some chairs and a kitchen that takes up about half the space. Garia is always crowded, but Kanungo Park is a bit more tucked away. I spend my days checking the supplies and making sure the stove is working right. We don't do any big advertising. Mostly, it’s just the smell of the cooking that brings people in from the street. The tables are a bit old and some of them have scratches from years of use. We don't mind it much because it shows the place has been lived in. The lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but nobody seems to care when they are eating. We get a lot of families on the weekends. Sometimes I have to apologize because the food takes a bit longer when we are short-staffed. It’s just how it is in a small place like this. We don't have a uniform or anything corporate. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work every morning. It's a steady life and we like being part of the Garia neighborhood. The neighbors sometimes complain about the noise, but we try to be quiet after nine.
