Calcutta Choir

We are mostly over at 130 Dakshini Co Operative Housing Society. That is situated on Canal South Road in the Tiljala area of the city. It is a residential neighborhood, which makes for a pretty calm environment compared to the main roads. Calcutta Choir is just a group of us who work from this spot. We do not have a fancy corporate office with a lobby or anything like that. It is more of a shared space where we keep our files and meet up to discuss things. Usually, there is some music being hummed or played in the background while we sort through our paperwork. It feels more like a home than a business sometimes. We have been part of this housing society for quite a while now. The room we use has plenty of daylight coming through the windows. We keep our instruments and chairs scattered around in no particular order. It is a very lived-in space. We do not really follow a strict nine-to-five schedule. Things happen when they need to, and we just roll with it. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes and get on with the day’s tasks. We do not have a big team or a lot of equipment, just enough to do what we need. It is a simple way of working, and we like the quiet atmosphere here. We just show up and do our bit until it is time to go.
