Down in the Industrial Area of District Darrang, you will find our setup at Sunandaram Foods Pvt. Ltd. It is a busy part of the district with lots of trucks moving in and out all day long. The area is filled with warehouses and factories, and we are right in the middle of it all. Inside our facility, there is always something going on with food processing or packing. We have a lot of local workers from the surrounding villages who come in early every morning to start the machines. It gets quite noisy once everything is running, and there is always that specific smell of whatever we are processing that day hanging in the air. The floors are concrete and we have to keep them very clean because we are dealing with food products. We don't have a fancy corporate office or anything like that. Our main desk is just in a small corner where we keep the logs and handle the paperwork for the deliveries. Sometimes the heat in Darrang can be quite a lot, especially in the middle of the day, but we keep the work moving. Most of our days are spent checking the quality of the ingredients or making sure the bags are sealed right before they get loaded onto the trucks. It is hard work and the hours can be long, but it feels good to see the finished products leaving the gate.
