We are based out in Tezpur, in a village called Rowmari. If you know the Rowmari L.P. School, we are right near there. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the school. Being in a place like Mansiri means things are a bit slower than the big cities, but that’s fine for us. We handle the e-commerce side of things from here. It sounds more high-tech than it actually looks when you walk in. Mostly it is just us with some computers and stacks of items ready to go out. The road gets a bit dusty in the dry season and muddy when it rains, but the postal service still makes it out to us. We chose the name Poushakh because it felt right for what we are doing with the clothing and goods. It’s a family-run kind of thing at its heart. We spend a lot of time talking to people on the phone and making sure the packets are taped up well so nothing breaks or gets ruined on the way to wherever it's going. The kids from the school walk by every afternoon and it makes the place feel alive. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls. It's just a regular building in the village. We do our best to keep things moving and stay busy. That's our daily life here in Sonitpur.
