Kumar Cement Works

Out here in Chariduar Village, things are pretty quiet compared to the town. We have got our setup in Balipara Tehsil, right near the Bandhan Bank. It is a decent spot because people know where to find us when they are starting a new project. The air around here usually has a bit of that dry cement smell, and everything in the office has a fine layer of white dust on it. We don't have a huge team, just a few local guys who know the area and the people. Most of our day is spent watching the mixers or checking the bags as they come off the line. It is heavy work, and the humidity in this part of the district can make it pretty tough some days. We don't have a polished front office with chairs for people to sit in. Usually, customers just stand by the gate or come into the yard to talk about what they need. We have got a small shed where we keep the tools, and a dog that hangs around the entrance looking for shade. We go home tired every day, but that is just how it is when you are working with building materials. Life in the village is simple, and we like it that way. We just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure we don't run out of supplies. It is a steady rhythm that we have gotten used to over the years.
