Nikhar Tea Estates Pvt Ltd.

Our place is at Plot No.-1831 in Phase 5 of the Hsiidc Industrial Estate in Rai. Being in an industrial area, Nikhar Tea Estates Pvt Ltd. is surrounded by other factories and warehouses. It is a very busy part of town with trucks coming and going at all hours. We have a fairly large space here compared to a small shop. Most of the work involves dealing with all the tea that arrives. We have to keep track of a lot of bags and boxes. It is not a glamorous job. There is a lot of dust and the noise from the nearby units is constant. We spend hours every day making sure the packing is done right. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. We aren't into big corporate speeches or fancy titles. Everyone just does what needs to be done. Whether it is sweeping the floor or handling the papers, we all pitch in. The office is just a corner of the warehouse with a couple of desks and some old chairs. We focus on the work of moving tea from one place to another. It is a practical business. We deal with a lot of paperwork because of being in the industrial estate, but we try to keep it simple. It is just a routine of hard work and tea. We stay until the last truck leaves.
