Gupta Cement Store

Gupta Cement Store is located on Railway Road in Gannaur Mandi. It’s a convenient spot because we’re right where the action is near the mandi. We see a lot of farmers and local builders coming through this way. We deal in cement and have been doing it for quite some time now. The store isn't very large, but we keep it well-stocked with the brands people ask for. Railway Road is always busy, so there’s never a dull moment around here. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving bags and talking to customers. It’s a local business, through and through. We know most of our customers by name since they’ve been coming to us for years. Gannaur is a small enough place that word of mouth is what matters most. We don’t do any advertising. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the first truck to arrive. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because we have to keep the cement dry, but we have good covers for that. It’s just me and a couple of helpers most days. We keep a ledger for all the sales and try to stay on top of the stock. It’s a simple life, and the work is steady. We enjoy being part of the community here on Railway Road. Usually, we close up when it starts getting dark and the traffic dies down a bit.
