Out here at Plot No. 180 in Hsiidc, Phase-V, Rai Sonipat, things stay pretty noisy. Bottling Engineers is basically a workshop where we deal with a lot of metal and glass. Most of the day is spent looking at blueprints or banging on a stubborn piece of stainless steel that won't fit right. It's not the cleanest place in the world, there's always a bit of grease or some metal shavings on the floor. We wear heavy boots for a reason. Rai Sonipat can get really dusty, so we are always wiping down the benches so the grit doesn't get into the gears. We don't have any sales people or a marketing department. It’s just us and the tools. When a machine comes in for repair, we take it apart and see why it stopped spinning. It’s satisfying when things finally click into place. The commute out here is long for some of us, but we like having the space to move the bigger equipment around without bumping into everything. We get a lot of tea from the stall down the road. It keeps us going during the long shifts when the sun is beating down on the roof. The lighting isn't great in the back of the shed, but we know where everything is by touch. We just do the work as it comes in and try to stay ahead of the deadlines.
