Uday Farm

Uday Farm is situated in the Village/Taluka of Tuljapur. We are right on the Straight Highway, N.H.-9, which makes it easy for trucks to pull in and out. It’s a lot of open space out here, which is what you’d expect for a farm. We spend most of our time outdoors, dealing with whatever the weather throws at us. Some days it’s pouring rain and we are covered in mud, and other days the sun is so hot you can’t stand it. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Our office is usually just a small room with a wooden table and some chairs where we keep our records. We grow what we can and take care of the land as best as we know how. It’s not a corporate farming operation with millions of machines. It’s just us and a few helpers getting our hands dirty every day. You can hear the traffic on the N.H.-9 passing by all the time, but you get used to the sound of the tires on the pavement. We sell some of our stuff right by the road sometimes. It’s a tough life, and we don't always get it right, but we keep trying. There’s no marketing department here, just real people working the soil and hoping for a good harvest. We like the quiet nights once the highway traffic dies down a little bit. It's just simple farm life.
