Kadlas Oil Mill

We are out here in Kadlas, in the Sangola area. It’s a small place, mostly farms and open space around us. The oil mill is where we spend our days. It’s a lot of work with the seeds and the pressing machines. Everything is a bit dusty and smells like oil, but that’s just how it is. We get the raw materials from the local farmers around here. We know most of them by name. It’s a simple building, nothing special to look at. We’ve been running this for a long time. The machines are old but they still work fine. We fix them ourselves mostly. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the sacks of seeds. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys. We work when the crop is in. Sometimes it’s quiet, other times we are working through the night. There’s no big office here, just a small table where we keep the receipts. We sit outside in the shade when we take a break. It’s a quiet life compared to the city. We just do our job and provide oil for the people nearby. It’s honest work. The road to the mill can get muddy when it rains. We don't mind. It’s home for us. Sangola is the nearest big town. We’ve been here for generations and hope to be for more. It's just a part of the village life for us.
