Rudransh Jaggery

Our setup for Rudransh Jaggery is located in Gaudgaon Village, which is part of the Barshi Taluka. We are actually quite close to the railway station, so you can often hear the trains going by while we work. The smell of boiling sugarcane juice is something you never really get tired of. It’s a very traditional kind of work. We don't have fancy computers or a polished storefront. It’s mostly just the big vats and the cooling molds. We work according to the harvest cycles. When the cane comes in, everyone is busy from dawn until late at night. The heat from the furnaces makes the shed very warm, but that’s part of the process. We have family and local people from the village helping out. Sometimes we sit by the tracks during our break and watch the passengers go by. It’s a simple way of making a living, and it's been the same way for a long time. The address is easy to find if you just follow the road toward the station. We spend our time making sure the jaggery sets properly and gets packed into blocks. It’s a bit messy and sticky, but it’s honest work. We don't worry about being a big corporation; we just focus on the batches we are making today and getting them ready for the local market. Each day brings its own challenges with the fire and the syrup, but we enjoy the rhythm of the village life here.
