Hotel Jay Palace

Hotgi Road is always moving and we are tucked right here near the Vasant Petrol Pump in Solapur. If you know the Antrolikar Nagar area, you probably passed by our building many times. We have been running Hotel Jay Palace for some years now and it has become our life. It is a family thing, really. We wanted a place where people visiting Solapur for work or to see family could just stay without any fuss. The area around here is quite busy because of the petrol pump and all the shops nearby. We spend a lot of time just making sure everything is in order before the next guest arrives. It is not like those big hotels in the city center where everything is shiny. Here, the paint might be a bit old in places but we keep the sheets fresh. My father started this and now we take care of it every day from morning until late at night. Sometimes people come in late looking for a room after a long drive and we try to help them out if we have space. We get a lot of people who are just passing through to other parts of Maharashtra. The kitchen stays busy during lunch hours because workers from nearby offices come in for a quick meal. It is a simple life we lead here on Hotgi Road, just doing our work and seeing the city change around us.
